London 8th September : The newly elected UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has warned scruffy dressers to dress up as she seeks to separate herself from that of her predecessor Daily Mail reported.Ties are obligatory as part of the new dress code that Truss will be introducing, in an effort to create a more professional image that the public will not think of as being associated with partygate period.
The Prime Minister has clarified with staff that loose collars and relaxed vibe in Downing Street both left with Boris Johnson, Daily Mail reported.
During Johnson’s tenure at No.10 he was often seen as a sloppy dresser, and the controversial chief of staff Dominic Cummings was notorious for wearing shabby attire.
A former source from the government said to The Times that Cummings always appeared to be like he’d fell off the edge of a bench’.
One source informed The newspaper that Truss declared her intentions immediatelyprior to being officially appointed: ‘This was all a result of Liz Coming back from winning and telling Admirality House staff that ties were coming back.’
We hope that, when combined with the cabinet change the more shrewd image will assist the public in moving away from the partygate-era that hangs over the Tories.
The reputation of No 10 was damaged when it was revealed that MPs and staff members had held many parties inside the building during the time of Covid locks and other restrictions, Daily Mail reported.
Cummings was Johnson’s right-handman for many years of time, but was almost never seen wearing a tie.
The previous Chief Adviser to the Prime Minster would sport a selection of large woolen scarves, gillets, loose pants and baggy shirts.
He was also reported to be wearing T-shirts and baseball caps while walking through the streets of Downing Street, Daily Mail reported.
