Delhi Metro to provide bus service to Central Vista from Sep 9

New Delhi, Sep 8 : Delhi Metro will provide bus services to tourists who want to go to India Gate or Central Vista in the capital city of India from September 9.
However the facility will be open for the first time for one week, according to DMRC on Thursday.

“Delhi Metro will offer buses for visitors to Central Vista/India Gate beginning September 9, 2022 following the official opening of Central Vista,” DMRC added in an update on Twitter.

The DMRC will operate six buses along this route to accommodate people who visit the route after the official opening.

The buses will be accessible for visitors starting at 5 p.m.and the last pick-up time will begin after 9 p.m.

The DMRC electric buses will collect the guests at Bhairon Road and will drop them off at Gate number 1 of the National Stadium C hexagon.

“The electric buses that will be deployed will pick up guests from Bhairon Road and drop off at Gate 1 of the National Stadium C hexagon from where the India Gate or Central Vista can be reached via walking.

This facility will be accessible for a week at first,” said the DMRC in another tweet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Central Vista Avenue — which will be referred to as the ‘Kartavya Path’on Thursday night.

The ceremony of inauguration will begin at 7 p.m.in which Modi will unveil the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the stretch that has been redesigned.
