Mumbai 5th Sep : Actress Kangana Ranaut is currently working with her film “Emergency” spoke about the art of making films and how it helped her realize the intricacies of storytelling.According to her, “a movie makes a maker” and not the other way around. “Emergency” is Kangana’s 2nd directorial following ‘Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi and she has left no stone unturned in making the film an enjoyable watch.
On her Instagram, Kangana shared a photo of her directing someone else off camera on an upcoming close-up or mid-close-up.
In the caption of the photo, she wrote: “Filmmaking is a perfect combination of preparation, practice, and spontaneity. This is why it could be the most difficult or easiest to accomplish is contingent on how effectively you can be both rigid and fluid simultaneously.”
She continued to explain that despite all the effort and preparation, a story or sequence might require you to discard all the things that were part of the preparation process and begin with a new beginning with an entirely new approach “If you’re able to plan hard to shoot the sequence you want to shoot, but in the final moment you tear down the mental structure, road map or blue print and you are free to come up with something completely distinct based on your intuition then you are able to make a film.If you know how to create movies, you’ll know that in reality that you can’t make a film.”
According to her the term film-maker is nothing more than an untruth in the sense that a story can find its true expression , and the creator is simply an instrument for telling the story.
“Film-maker is an untruth, there isn’t any such thing.
In fact, a film creates a maker since the story is a soul and seed, which develops and manifests. The the maker is left to watch bewildered and enthralled as she is transformed in to a character she must play .#setstories#Emergency.”
