Kolkata 5th September : A brand new section on “moral character development” will be included in the school curriculum of West Bengal shortly, according to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The news comes at a moment where the West Bengal government and the state’s ruling Trinamool Congress are saddled with the numerous allegations of corruption.

She made the announcement when she addressed a gathering to honor teachers of the state in celebration of the “Teachers Day” on Monday afternoon.State Education Minister Bratya Basu was in attendance at the event and she requested him to begin the preparation process for this matter with immediate effective.

The chief minister made a crucial announcement at the time in which she stated that a person isn’t identified through the assets he or she owns.”How much money you have isn’t the only identifier of an individual.Be aware that the money you have today may disappear in the future.The degree to which I’ll be honest or not depends on me alone.All fingers aren’t the same.As there are some good people in society but there are also those who are not so good.Therefore, for some poor people, it’s unfair to criticize the whole society.” she said.

To recall, from the moment Partha Chatterjee and Anubrata Mondal were detained in connection with recruitment of teachers and cattle smuggling frauds, respectively and Trinamool Congress leaders had been confronted with public ridicule and resentment.Many senior Trinamool Congress leaders, including the chief minister, were insisting in public gatherings that it would be unfair to criticize the entire party for the wrongdoings of certain.

At the teacher’s felicitation program the chief minister stated that sometimes good people take the wrong route due to of mental depression or ill-associations.

The ongoing controversy over the teacher recruitment scam might have been resolved in a matter of days had it not been for a constant flow of public interest lawsuits (PIL) brought in the case.”These legal issues are stalling the whole process.I’m sure there were some errors.However, at least we should have the chance to correct the mistakes,” the chief minister declared.

According to her, alleged irregularities in the Trinamool Congress regime are coming to the forefront due to the lack of correct documents and papers.”During the earlier Left Front regime, they destroyed all documents and papers,” she alleged.
