Islamabad 5 September : The number of deaths in the devastating floods in Pakistan has risen by 1,314, with the weather office forecasting more rain to hit the country in the coming days.This could trigger land slides in the northern regions.According to the most recent National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) update 24 people have been killed in the last 24 hours.This boosted the death toll overall in the deadly flood that was triggered by the unending rain since mid-June.Xinhua news agency.
The report also noted that 115 people were wounded in the exact same which brought the total number to 12,703.
The NDMA stated that an estimated total of 1,682,726 homes have been destroyed as of now and an estimated 750,405 animals has lost its life.

In the meantime it is reported by according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that thundershower and rain with isolated heavy falls could take place in the Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan region and in parts of Punjab province until Tuesday.
It further stated that rain is also anticipated in areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until Monday.
