Los Angeles, Sep 5 : The former US President Barack Obama has won an Emmy Award to go with his two Grammys.

The five-part program that showcases national parks from across the world is created by Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company “Higher Ground”.

He was the most well-known name in the category of prominent nominees for the prize presented at the Creative Arts Emmys.They included Kareem Abdul-Jabbar David Attenborough and Lupita Nyong’o.

Obama is only the second president to win an Emmy.Dwight D.Eisenhower was awarded an exclusive Emmy Award in 1956.

Obama has previously won Grammy Awards for his audiobook reading of two of his memoirs, “The Audacity of Hope” and “A Promised Land.” Michelle Obama won her own Grammy for her performance of her audiobook in 2020.

EGOT refers to a specific class of entertainers that have been awarded an Emmy or an Emmy, a Grammy or an Oscar and an Tony.

At present 17 people have won it.

The late Chadwick Boseman also took home an Emmy for his voice over on Saturday.The actor of the ‘Black Panther’ was awarded for his outstanding voiceover of a character for the Disney+ and Marvel Studios animated series “What If .?’

The show’s star, Boseman voiced his ‘Black Panther character T’Challa in an alternate universe in which he transforms into Star-Lord in the show “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

This was one of the final projects for Boseman who died in 2020 of colon cancer at the age 43.
