Chennai 4th September : With only two of days to go for the official launch of the trailer of the film, the team of director Mani Ratnam’s highly-anticipated masterpiece, ‘Ponniyin Sevan has released on Sunday the look of the actors Prakash Raj, Rahman and Jayachitra in the film.In the film, Prakash Raj plays Sundara Chozhar, Rahman plays Madurantakan and Jayachitra is Sembiyan Maadevi in the epic film that is based on the famous writer Kalki’s masterpiece work, ‘Ponniyin Sevan’.
Tweeting on Twitter, Lyca Productions, which is producing the film with Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, said: “Every rose has thorns.The Emperor and Queen Mother and the Son who wants everything! Meet Prakash Raj as Sundara Chozhar, Jayachitra as Sembiyan Maadevi, and actor Rahman as Madhurantakan!”
The studio also revealed the appearance of the actor Sobhita Dhulipala who is the character in the movie.
It was said: “Quick witted, courteous and much more than what is seen by the eye! This is Sobhita Dhulipala in the role of Vanathi!”
The film, which’s initial part is set to begin on September 30th, is a fascinating story that centers around the childhood of Prince Arulmozhi Varman, who later on became known as the legendary Raja Raja Chozhan.
The film was described by Mani Ratnam as his dream project, the film stars an array of top actors, including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jayaram, Parthiban, Lal, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu and Prakash Raj.
The film is expected to be one of the most expensive productions ever completed in the country.
