Houston 3rd September : The corpses of eight people were found from the Rio Grande, the border river that connects Mexico as well as the US state of Texas after hundreds of them were swept downstream according to authorities.A total of 37 people have been taken from the river in the vicinity of Eagle Pass of Texas, according to a statement released on Friday by the US Customs and Border Protection.
Six bodies were found by US Border Patrol agents, and two more were retrieved by Mexican teams, according to the statement.
A few days of torrential rainfall in the region have resulted in rapid flows in the Rio Grande, local media reported.
