Los Angeles, Sep 1 : After only two episodes have been airedin the “House of the Dragon’ showrunner Miguel Sapochnik announced his departure.
On August 31st, Sapochnik announced his exit from the HBO series after just two episodes had been aired, according to eonline.com.

“Working with the GOT universe for the last couple of years has been a privilege and a privilege” Sapochnik stated in an announcement, “Especially spending the last two years with the incredible team and cast of “House of the Dragon’.”

“I am extremely happy of the things we accomplished with season one, and am incredibly thrilled by the enthusiastic response of our viewers.”

According to HBOthe “House of the Dragon’s co-creator Ryan Condal, who also co-created the USA Network’s Colony and will assume the role as the show’s sole showrunner in the upcoming season.

Alan Taylor, the Emmy-winning Game of Thrones veteran, will be joining Game of Thrones’s second season as executive producer as well as director of numerous episodes.

“It was extremely difficult to make the decision to leave however I know it’s the best choice for me, both personally as well as professionally” Sapochnik explained.

The episode 2 of House of the Dragon on August 28 was seen by 10.2 million viewers according to Variety which is an increase from the nearly 10 million viewers who watched the premiere on the 21st of August which was the largest premiere in HBO history.
