Dubai 1st of September : India’s top cricketer Virat Kohli praised the fashionable batter Suryakumar Yadav, to play an “special game” against Hong Kong in the ongoing Asia Cup on Wednesday.Suryakumar Yadav’s elegant 68, not out, and Kohli’s undefeated score of 59, helped India get a place in the Super Four round of Asia Cup 2022, after defeating Hong Kong by 40 runs here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
After Suryakumar’s blitzing strike, Kohli made a sweet gesture when he kneeled towards the batter following the game.
After India’s victory, Kohli again appreciated Suryakumar when he posted a photo with the word ‘SKY’ on his homegrown social networks, Koo app.
“Good winning today.A great performance by SKY.We’ll continue,” Kohli said on the Koo app.
In the meantime, Suryakumar was totally flabbergasted by Kohli’s gesture in the field.
“It was a truly touching gesture.I’ve never seen anything like this before.I was staring at him and was thinking, “why isn’t he going ahead?” Then I approached him and encouraged him to walk in a group.He is so knowledgeable,” said Suryakumar.
India opener KL Rahul scored 36 off 39 balls, but his two perfect sixes proved that he isn’t in poor form as of right now.
KL Rahul also shared his photo in the Koo app following India’s victory.
India defeated Hong Kong in all departments and was the first team to be selected to play in the Super four.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will today clash in the Group B game.
The winner will earn a spot in the super four-stage.
Pakistan and Hong Kong will meet for the same scenario on Friday.
The Super Four Round of the Asia Cup 2022 will begin on Saturday.
