Los Angeles, Aug 31 : Pop star Charli XCX is missing “the easy and the pleasure” of her early days in the music industry.The 30-year-old pop singer began her career at small and warehouse nightclubs in the early days when she was just a teenager.
She has admitted to having missed the excitement of the beginning of her career.
The ‘Boom Clap’ singer stated: “When I was younger I was always looking to getting dirty.I am a bit numb to the enjoyment of the shows no doubt,” reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Charli has even made an effort to recreate the feelings she felt in her teens.
She said to the BBC: “Five years ago I used to request that my dressing area be cleaned as if there had been some sort of party in there.It was enjoyable for around two weeks before we were sort of simply sitting in an absolute mess.
“Now it’s definitely more health-focused backstage with Kombucha and tablets of echinacea.The real rock star stuff.”
The stage shows of Charli have changed significantly over the years.
She’s also feeling much more confident in her dancing moves.
The chart-topping star said: “Now I’m 30, I realized that I’d never learned an entirely new skill and had never learned it from the bottom from the bottom.
“So while dancing isn’t a massive leap from music, I wasn’t a great dancer, so I spent a lot of time learning and practicing.
“And I’m really happy of my ability to begin with nothing and end up with something that’s truly amazing.”
Charli tried, but was unsuccessful, in mastering a second ability in the COVID-19 lockdown.
The singer said: “I had a brief cooking phase in the lockdown.I’m afraid it didn’t pass through the beginning stages.”
