The floods continue to create destruction, destruction and claimed lives as at around 119 died in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan and more than 70 people injured in the past 24 hours.

In total, 1,037 lives have been lost to date all over the nation, with the death of 74 reported in Sindh in Sindh, 31 in KP six in Gilgit Baltistan (GB) four in Balochistan and one in Punjab and Kashmir.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) at the very least, 32 children 56 men and nine women have died in the flooding and rains, and the total number of affected people has surpassed 5.77 million.

At least 3,116 kilometers of highways and 149 bridges were swept away.

“Currently, Jhelum, Ravi, Chenab and Sutlej rivers are flowing as normal, while Indus river has reached a a high flood levels at Attock, Chashma, Taunsa and Sukkur,” Pakistan Army’s public relations department Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated.

Many parts of Pakistan are showing images of terrifying, large-scale and fast-flowing flood water or showing pockets of homeless people living on the side of the highways of in camp villages which are an element of the rescue operation.

As the government works to provide assistance to flood-affected people, the scale and magnitude of destruction, displacement, and the affected population is so large that thousands of people are still waiting for the government’s relief aid.
