The torrential downpour continues to batter areas of Pakistan already ravaged by catastrophic flooding of massive proportions, causing destruction and death in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Balochistan and Sindh provinces.

Numerous of individuals have died in KP where heavy rains have caused devastating floods in streams and rivers that have also swept away a number of homes close to their banks.Balochistan is still isolated from the rest of the country because of new rains.

This past Saturday in the pre-match press conference Pakistan captain Babar Azam pleaded with everyone to pray to assist the flood-stricken population of his nation.Babar declared that it’s an extremely difficult moment “in the country we live in and we are all praying for the people affected”.

More than 30 million people are affected by flooding and more than 1,000 deaths have been reported by local media.
