Chandigarh 28 August : The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will literally put the foundation stone of Maruti Suzuki’s third manufacturing plant located at Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Kharkhoda in Sonipat in Haryana on Sunday.Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and the Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, as well as MPs and central ministers will be in attendance at the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that the foundation stone will be an important landmark in the development of industry of Haryana.
“Today Haryana has become a major manufacturing hub for automobiles in the nation.
As of now, 50% of the automobiles produced in India are made in Haryana.In the event of Maruti Suzuki setting up another manufacturing facility, a new industrial hub is set to be created in Haryana,” said Khattar.
He stated that the state government has provided various kinds of facilities to the industry , due to which the state has been growing constantly as an industrial center.The investment of big companies like Maruti has provided an optimistic boost to the industrial ecosystem.
The Chief Minister has stated that, following Gurugram and Manesar it will be the third manufacturing plant of Maruti Suzuki which will be constructed in Haryana.Together with Maruti car the foundation stone of Suzuki’s bike manufacturing plant will be laid in this area.
This massive investment put in by Maruti and Suzuki will definitely open the doors of employment and growth for the state, and in the future, Kharkhoda is certainly going to be able to compete with Gurugram as well as Manesar.
In May the month of May, an agreement of agreement was signed for the allotment of land to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.and Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt.Ltd.for the construction of the plant.
A amount of 2400 crores was spent on the purchase of this land , and more than 20,000 will be put into.
Maruti’s new plants will be built in an area of around 900 acres.
