Dubai 27 Aug : With India and Pakistan scheduled to play each against each other in their Asia Cup campaign at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday the Vice Captain of Pakistan Shadab Khan has stated that the team will attempt to replicate the performance they gave in the last match against the Indian team.The last time that the two teams played in the T20 World Cup in October 2021, Pakistan had thrashed India by 10 wickets.
“Every game is a fresh beginning.The last game was a landmark and we’ll carry the same mindset in order to win against India.We’ll try to repeat the performance of last year,” Khan said, noting that there always is pressure when two teams play each other however, his team manages the pressure in positive ways.
“Friendship and bonding between us (India and Pakistan) has grown stronger during the Covid period” he said.
On Virat Kohli The Pakistani vice captain declared, “Kohli is a legend.We wish him the best, even though he is performing extremely well, but not at his standards.
I would like to see him reach his century, but not in our favour.He is an enemy to us whenever he is on the field.”
Concerning Shaheen & Waseem’s injury he stated, “Injury is not in our control.It’s not an individual’s game it’s a group game.Every member of the team is a winner in the game and we must believe in them.”
