Tel Aviv, Aug 26 : Tel Aviv, Aug 26 : Israeli Military Prosecution has filed an indictment against a powerful high-ranking figure in the Islamic Jihad, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced.
Bassam al-Saadi has been accused of committed criminal acts of being associated with and involvement in an illegal group that is known as the Islamic Jihad, reports dpa news agency.

He is also accused with imitation, incitement, and faciliting contacts with “enemy elements”,

In the case of the indictment al-Saadi was a partner with other agents in core terrorist activities which included receiving funds from an Islamic Jihad operative in the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, al-Saadi is said to have called for the continuation of violent Palestinian attacks.

Furthermore the moment Israeli security forces arrived to arrest the suspect, al-Saadi posed as someone other in the hope of avoid the police.

The Military Prosecution requested that al-Saadi be held until the conclusion of the legal proceeding in the case.

In response to the demand of the defense attorney to examine the evidence at this point al-Saadi’s stay has been extended to Sunday, when the hearing will take place at the request of the prosecution to hold him until the conclusion of the legal process.

Al-Saadi is in detention since the 1st of August.

The investigation started after intelligence that indicated he continued to engage in Islamic Jihad.

Islamic Jihad threatened to attack Israel following his arrest.

In the aftermath Israel’s Israeli military launched a massive military attack against Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip three weeks ago.

Dozens of people died.The militant Palestinians launched missiles into Israeli towns.

After three days of fighting the ceasefire was reached with Egyptian assistance.
