Mumbai 24 Aug : Mumbai, Aug.24 : Congress’ Maharashtra unit on Wednesday said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre is agitated after losing the power in Bihar and that it is “becoming more violent as British” with “an undeclared emergency” in the country and the plan of “divide and rule”.State Congress President Nana Patole said that feeling “restless” after Bihar fell out of its grasp and the BJP is now harassing different opposition-ruled states and parties with its arsenal of the CBI as well as the ED the IT and other central agencies to overthrow the state governments or to break the parties that are not BJP.
“The CBI, ED, IT specifically targets political parties or leaders who don’t support the BJP.The BJP is trying to eliminate every opposition in the country.Since 2014, the nation is witnessing the BJP’s oppressive control and an environment of an unannounced emergency.” he said.
Patole was talking to media representatives after a massive ruckus erupted in the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan this morning between those who are supporters of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) Nationalist Congress Party-Congress-Shiv-Sena legislators that shocked the citizens of the state.
He said that the ongoing probe by the probe agencies against Aam Aadmi Party Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in Delhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal leaders in Bihar is “another instance of the way in which the BJP has been using the central authorities” against political opposition to disarm them or to bring down the state governments.
“Till 2014, all government bodies in the country acted in accordance with the principles of federal democracy and the Constitution However, after 2014 the situation has changed with the BJP adopting an autocratic manner of operating and the ‘divide and Rule strategies which is more brutal than British,” Patole said with a sharp slant.
He thought back to the time when the BJP had been elected to power with promises of decreasing the rate of inflation, doubling the income of farmers and creating two crore jobs per year, and returning the black money that was stowed away abroad and more.
After becoming a government however, the BJP has abandoned its promises.
The result is an exploding unemployment, huge inflation and massive distress in the agrarian industry, while “a few of industrialists” have benefited.
When opposition leaders/parties bring up these issues The BJP distracts the public with the issue of communal or religious politics as well as other topics to avoid responding, he reiterated.
“But right now, the people of the nation are in displeasure with the BJP’s policies and will teach the party an important lesson in the upcoming elections,” predicted Patole.
