New Delhi, Aug 24 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the “National conference of Labor Ministers’ of all states and union territories on Thursday.The two-day event is organized by the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The Conference is being organized in the spirit of cooperative federalism in order to discuss important labour-related issues.It will aid in creating further synergies between the Centre and the state governments in formulating more effective policies and ensuring the successful implementation of programs to improve the wellbeing of workers.
The conference will feature four thematic sessions on the integration of the e-Shram portal to social security on-boarding schemes to make social protection universal; Swasthya se Samriddhi to improve medical care by integrating ESI hospitals operated by state governments as well as integration with PMJAY and the framing of rules under the four Labour Codes and the modalities for their implementation and implementation; Vision Shramev Jayate 2047 with emphasis on fair and fair working conditions of work, social security for all workers, which includes platform and gig workers as well as gender equality in the workplace among other issues.
