New Delhi, Aug 22 : The award is given to the winner while the honor goes to the person who has a passion for the nation Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said at the “Bharat Swaasth Mahotsav” on Monday.The event was organized to commemorate the accomplishments as well as contributions of Padma awardees doctors in the health sector of the nation since Independence.
Union Minister of State for Health Bharati Pravin Pawar, the Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, and R.S.Sharma CEO, National Health Authority, were also present in the event.
The Padma doctors’ association was created to recognize, celebrate, and congratulate the Padma doctors who have received the Padma award for their contribution to the healthcare system in India since Independence.
Appreciating the contribution of those working in the frontline as well as healthcare professionals and doctors Mandaviya said that “The health professionals played a significant part in the Covid-19 epidemic.The dedication and hard work of healthcare professionals and doctors during this difficult time will be remembered in the history of humanity.”
He said that the contributions of all health professionals are crucial.
In announcing the significance of the Padma award The Health Minister said, “All those who have been awarded this award have put in effort from determination to achievement.”
“With our combined efforts we will be able to make India an international leader and an icon of global health in this century,”” Minister said.
