Chennai 22nd, August : Actor Arun Vijay who made a stunning debut with the riveting web-based series ‘Tamil Rockerz”, has revealed that he is receiving calls from viewers who after watching the web-based series have decided to stay clear of viewing pirated versions of films and television shows.Arun plays Rudra who is an investigator who tracks a notorious gang of video pirates who are bent to bring down the film industry in the highly-rated series streamed on SonyLIV.
In a statement about the show, Vijay stated, “We did extensive research before we began filming ‘TamilRockerz’.We’ve seen the deplorable state of the film business due to video pirates.Therefore, we thought that a story such as “TamilRockerz” would be a wake-up call for all of our viewers.
“As our team we are pleased that we were able to educate the public on how they can take action against pirates.We receive a lot of messages and calls from viewers saying that they will no longer watch pirated content from now on.”
He also said “It is a feeling that all the hard work we put into it has been worth it because we are getting lots of love and appreciation from the people who watch us from both the north and south.”
