Chennai 21 August : BJP Mahila Morcha national president Vanathi Sreenivasan on Sunday urged the Tamil Nadu government to create an information database of people in the unorganized sector.Sreenivasan who is a member of Legislative Assembly from Coimbatore spoke to reporters after handing out the e-Shram as well as Ayushman Bharat scheme identification cards to a handful of beneficiaries in Coimbatore.
She requested the Tamil Nadu government to conduct special registration camps to facilitate registration of workers in the unorganized sector via an e-shram website.
The BJP leader advised the state government not to look at schemes that benefit the vast majority of people with an narrow lens of the nature of the scheme, whether it’s a Central or state-run government scheme, and asked it to implement the plan without opposition from either party.
She declared she was aware that the Central government plans to sign up more than 38 million workers in order to establish a national database.She also stated relatives of an employee who is registered in the unorganized sector could benefit of an amount of two lakh in the event of permanent or fatal disability.In the event of an impairment that is only partial for an employee who is registered with the portal e-shram the employee will receive Rs.1 lakh compensation.
