Mumbai 20th August : Actor Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday-starrer “Liger” marks the Bollywood debut of singer Lakshay Kapoor, who contributed his voice to the song ‘Socha Tha Tha’ in the film.The singer acknowledges that being able the opportunity to make his Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions is a dream that has come true.
“I believe that nothing more and better than this could be experienced by a singer.People are waiting for many years for this to occur and I feel privileged and fortunate to have had the opportunity to have my voice heard in the huge project of Liger.”
He is also thrilled to be singing in support of Vijay Deverakonda.
“I think he is going to be the next big thing.
We want people to experience freshness and newness.In the same way, it’s our first films in Bollywood.This is a fresh voice and a new image for the industry, a he said.
“Socha Na Tha” happy romantic tune with lyrics written by Kunal Verma, and music by Tanishk Bagchi.
Lakshay discusses his experiences of working with the composer.
“Tanishk is like my older brother.
My first recording session professionally was with him, and I think he is an artist.He somehow made me feel very easy.
He is a pro at how to complete tasks.
Lakshay also has a fascinating story to tell about his recording of “Socha Na Tha” with Tanishk.
“I arrived in Mumbai and went straight to the studio.I didn’t even have the music with me at that point.
I had already been late, so when I got to the studio Tanishk got me to listen to the track and I immediately was in love with the song.The song was recorded in two lines at a stretch, but everything went very effortlessly.”
The singer has been contracted by Dharma Cornerstone Agency and has already recorded a number of songs for a variety of future projects.
