New Delhi, Aug 18 : Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has stated that the civilisation of the future will be largely powered by solar energy in the near future.
In a tweet, Musk said that almost all of the energy on Earth is generated by the Sun.

“We are a black iceball the absolute zero point if it weren’t for the Sun.The entire ecosystem is powered by solar energy,” he mentioned.

“Civilisation consumes a small amount of energy in comparison.It is not difficult to generate energy by solar or wind,” he added.

Musk is a big fan of solar energy, and runs the Tesla Solar vertical and that offers rooftop solar panels as well as with storage solutions for energy.

Tesla’s solar operations used total of the equivalent of 106 megawatts in the second quarter of 2022.

“Although we continue to encounter delays in the import process that are beyond our control with particular solar components, we’ve increased the supplier network to allow expansion in this industry,” said the company.

Comparing to the same period the previous year Tesla has increased the number of solar panels by 25 percent.

Tesla bought SolarCity in 2016 .Then, in April of this year, a US judge decided to side with Musk in an engrossing lawsuit filed by Tesla shareholders, who accused the company’s chief executive of forcing the board of the electric vehicle manufacturer into purchasing SolarCity it was first launched in 2006 by the Musk’s relatives.

Tesla solar panels have been designed to be extremely efficient providing maximum solar power all year round even on roofs with complex angles.

Powerwall, the home storage solution for homes is a rechargeable lithium ion battery that is a stationary home energy storage system produced by Tesla Energy which stores electricity for solar self-consumption.
