Cape Town, Aug 11 : Pacer Kagiso Rabada Uncapped batter Dewald Brevis and leg-spinner Rashid Khan, left-arm pacer Sam Curran and big-hitting all-rounder Liam Livingstone on Thursday were named as five of the players who were signed by the MI Cape Town side in CSA T20 League.MI Cape Town side is owned by Reliance Industries Limited, who are the owners of five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians.
Wednesday was the final day of the six teams in CSA T20 League to pre-sign up up to five players consisting of three international players and one Proteas player, and one uncapped South African player prior to auction.
Rabada, Rashid, Curran and Livingstone have proven to be top players for their country of origin South Africa, Afghanistan and England in the international circuit, as well as in the home T20 arena.
Brevis, the teen batter who scored the most runs in U19’s Men’s Cricket World Cup earlier this year, enjoyed an outstanding season with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022.He scored 161 of them with a strike-rate of 142.47 in his seven appearances for the team.

On Wednesday the title of the Cape Town franchise acquired by MI team owners in CSA T20 League was revealed as ‘MI Cape Town or phonetically “MY Cape Town”, team dedicated to the fans of Cape Town, South Africa.They already announced that their team in the UAE’s ILT20 tournament would be dubbed MI Emirates.
