Los Angeles, Aug 11 : Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet’s “Bones and All” released its first teaser trailer via the Twitter account of the Oscar nominee’s Twitter account. The film is a reunion for the actor with director Luca Guadagnino, whose 2017 film ‘Call Me By Your Name was nominated for Chalamet his first Oscar nomination.The film is scheduled to have an international premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Guadagnino’s final world premiere at the festival was the remake of ‘Suspiria’ from 2018 According to ‘Variety’, the film’s last world premiere was in 2018.
Based on the novel of the same title written by Camille DeAngelis, the coming-of-age story follows the love story of cannibals Maren (Taylor Russell) and Lee (Chalamet) as they travel across America.
Michael Stuhlbarg also stars in the film adaptation, along with Andre Holland, Chloe Sevigny David Gordon-Green, Jessica Harper, Jake Horowitz and Mark Rylance.
The screenplay was written by David Kajganich, who previously worked with Guadagnino on the film ‘Suspiria as well as the 2015 film “A Bigger Splash’.
In a statement of the film Guadagnino declared in an interview: “There is something about the marginalized, about those who are marginalized of society that I am drawn to and am touched by.”
“I want to discover what possibilities are available to them, while enmeshed in the limits they have to face.The film serves as a way to reflect on what I am and how I am able to get over my feelings, especially when it’s something that I am unable to control in my own.And lastly, and perhaps most important, when will I be able to recognize myself in the eyes of someone else?”
“Bones and all” is produced by Guadagnino, Theresa Park, Marco Morabito, Dave Kajganich, Francesco Melzi d’Eril, Lorenzo Mieli, Gabriele Moratti, Peter Spears and Chalamet.Giovanni Corrado, Raffaella Viscardi, Marco Colombo and Moreno Zani serve as executive producers.
The financiers of the film include The Apartment Pictures, 3 Marys Entertainment, Memo Films, Tenderstories, Elafilm, Wise Pictures, Excelsa, Serfis and Piace.MGM secured international and domestic distribution rights as well as Vision Distribution will distribute the film in Italy.
“Bones and all” will be released in cinemas on the 23rd of November.The 2022 Venice Film Festival runs August 31 to September 10.
