New Delhi, Aug 9 : Delhi on Tuesday reported a massive increase of almost twofold in new Covid instances in the past 24 hours, reaching 2,495 against 1,372 reported the previous day, and seven deaths as per the health bulletin. In addition the Covid positive rate has slightly decreased to 15.41 percent while the total amount of active cases is 8,506, of 554 patients being cared for in isolation at home.
With 1,466 patients being treated in the past 24 hours the number of recuperations has risen to 19,38,545.Delhi’s total patient count is 19,73,394 and the death count is 26,343.
The total number of Covid containment zones is at 253.
An total of 16,187 new tests — 10,451 RTPCR and 5,736 Rapid Antigen was performed in the last 24 hours bringing the total to 3,964,42,039 while 19170 vaccines were given 1 033 doses as the first dose and 2,950 second doses and 15,157 doses of precaution.
The number of vaccine-affected beneficiaries to date is 3,59,84,974 in accordance with the health bulletin.
