New Delhi, Aug 9 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday recalled all those who participated in the Quit India movement and strengthened the fight for freedom.In a string of tweets, Prime Minister Modi stated, “Remembering all those who participated in the Quit India Movement under Bapu’s direction and who fought for our struggle for freedom.”
Sharing a photo of Mahatma Gandhi Prime Minister Modi stated, “Here is picture of Mahatma Gandhi at the beginning of the Quit India Movement in Bombay.(Sourced from the Nehru Memorial Collection).”
He also echoed the socialist leader Jayaprakash Narayan’s comment “August 9 is now a symbol of our nation’s revolution.”
“Inspired by Bapu Bapu, the Quit India Movement witnessed remarkable participation from people from all segments of society, including famous figures like JP and Dr.Lohia,” Prime Minister Modi said.
