The BJP-led Central government in an announcement to the press the Chief Minister said, “These people waived off the loans of 10 lakh crores of rupees of their acquaintances. They should be labeled as ‘traitors’ and an investigation should be initiated against them.”

A law must be introduced in for the purpose of declaring this as ‘treason and all those who are involved should be taken to prison, he said.

He said that a climate is being created that is stoking a fear of free welfare services provided by the government by calling them freebies rather than aiming to improve them in the 75th anniversary of independence.

“There are some who refer to the offer of free education and free medical treatment provided by government facilities as’rewadi or freebies’.

A skewed view is being created in the country to oppose the provision of free education in government schools and medical treatment for free at hospitals run by the government,” Kejriwal added.

He said, “We are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence. We should be thinking about strengthening the facilities we have, but instead we create a hostile environment for them.”

“On the day of 75th Independence I ask for free education, health care 300 units of free electricity to all households and an unemployment allowance for everyone,” he said.
