New Delhi, Aug 6 : Concerned about the technical issues that recently were discovered in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) examinations senior officials of the Ministry of Education, UGC, AICTE and NTA, together with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday, reviewed the CUET (UG) exam schedule in the test centers across the country.
UGC chair M.Jagadesh Kumar said: “Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the CUET exam.We believe that the students will not face any technical issues during the exam.

The arrangements for the 7 August (Sunday) test have been completed.A total of 33,000 candidates have signed up in 276 test centers.”

He claimed that on the weekend, CUET exam — in both afternoon and morning shifts — was conducted without a hitch in 347 test centers.In total, of 96,074 applicants had been registered for the test, Kumar added.

In the wake of the difficulties that students were experiencing in certain of the centers of CUET exam The National Testing Agency (NTA) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) examined the entire situation.It was discovered that some of the centres did not conform with the established protocols.

“Any incident of non-compliance, sabotage or ignorance will be taken very seriously and swift actions will be taken against these centers to ensure the smooth running of examinations in the future,” an official said.

NTA officials have stated that the agency for testing is determined to protecting the rights of students.

The 2nd phase of the CUET (UG) examinations began on August 4th.

On Friday, the exam that was scheduled for the first shift on the 5th of August was delayed at 20 exam centers.In the same way exams scheduled for the 2nd shift were delayed at 30 centers, in various regions of the nation.

Even on Thursday due mainly to technical and administrative reasons, the exam was delayed until August 12 at a variety of exam centers in 17 states.

The UGC chairman has however stated that “now there won’t be any technical issue, and the examination process will be easy”.
