Bhubaneswar on Aug.6 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Odisha for two days on Sunday according to an BJP leader announced on Saturday.Shah will take off from the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 10 p.m.on the 7th of August and will stay overnight in the city.
In the morning of Monday, he will offer prayers at Lingaraj Temple as it is the final Monday of the holy Odia month of Sraban according to Odisha BJP President Samir Mohanty.
After the temple visit, Shah will visit Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthplace in Cuttack.He will pay tribute by garlandsing his statue to mark the day of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Mohanty said.
He will also be attending an event to mark the 75th anniversary of an Odia daily newspaper at the Indoor Stadium in Cuttack.
The Home Minister is expected to go to the Odisha BJP office in Bhubaneswar in the city, where he will meet with senior leaders of the party.
In the evening, he will attend a book reading of Modi@20 at the Mayfair Convention here before flying back to Delhi.
