Andhra Pradesh Industries and IT Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy (50) has died suddenly.He was treated at the Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad for a heart attack and passed away at 8.45 am on Monday.Doctors rushed Gautam Reddy to the ICU and provided emergency services but he did not survive.The hospital doctors informed the family members.
Gautam Reddy is the son of industrialist and former MP Rajamohan Reddy.Born on November 2, 1971, Mekapati Gautam Reddy completed his MSC from the University of Manchester, England.Gautam Reddy made his political debut with the 2014 Assembly elections.
He contested from Atmakuru constituency of Nellore district for the first time and won twice Atmakuru won as an MLA.
However, Mekapati participated in the Dubai Expo for a week.He arrived in Hyderabad on Sunday after participating in the Dubai Expo.He was tested covid positive and recovered on 22nd of last month.
After hearing the news of Gautam Reddy’s death, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy left for Hyderabad.
