CM KCR took a key decision towards administrative reforms in Telangana.An Administrative Reforms Committee was set up with four IAS officers.
The committee is chaired by IG, Commissioner, Department of Stamps and Registrations, Seshadri.Chief Minister’s Secretary Smita Sabharwal, Women and Child Welfare Commissioner Divya and GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar will be members.
The task of this committee is to identify the extent of work pressure in various government departments in the newly formed districts and zones and to assess the need for new jobs.The committee is required to prepare a report on the steps to be taken by the respective government departments to improve their performance.
The Administrative Reforms Committee will also study how VROs and VRAs can use their services.
KCR, who is a pioneer in welfare schemes and development programs in Telangana, said the committee was set up with the aim of providing better services in terms of governance reforms.
A high-level review meeting was held at Pragati Bhavan under the chairmanship of CM KCR.So far, 38,643 employees have been adjusted in the joint districts and 38,542 employees, except 101, have joined the ranks, officials told the CM.The CM directed the committee to review and report on the steps to be taken to issue notifications for immediate filling of vacancies in the respective districts, construction of integrated government and police offices in the districts, performance of various government departments in the districts and steps to be taken for further improvement.
