Omicron Alert New Isolation Guidelines From Health Ministry

The Union Health Ministry has issued new guidelines for those with mild symptoms of home isolation in the wake of another outbreak of the corona virus (Covid 19) virus in the country.It released new guidelines on Wednesday (December 5) amending existing regulations.

Reduces home isolation from 7 days to 7 days.Those who do not have symptoms, those who have mild symptoms .If there is no fever for three days in a row after getting positive, they can stay in home isolation for 7 days.No need to undergo Corona Test again after home isolation.

The person in the home isolation has mild symptoms and should not have any fever.Victims are eligible for self-detention if their oxygen level is above 93 percent.

However, a person who has a corona positive should take a certificate from a nearby government medical officer (with mild symptoms).The family along with the person involved in the isolation must abide by the quarantine rules.

The person should complete two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination.Elderly persons above 60 years of age and other chronically ill persons should be in home isolation on the advice of the concerned Medical Officer.

If the symptoms are severe in a person who is corona positive, consult a doctor immediately.Rinse with lukewarm water from time to time.Steam three times a day.Consult a doctor if the tablets do not reduce the fever.

1.Corona victims should be isolated in a separate room away from family members.The room should be well ventilated and well lit.2.Always use a three layer mask.Change every 8 hours.After 72 hours the masks should be cut into pieces.

3.If family members are to come in contact with an isolated person, both must use the N-95 mask.Victims should rest as much as possible.

4.Corona infected person should consume more fluids.

Gargle with hot water three times a day.Steam at the same time.

5.Breathing levels should be monitored regularly.Oxygen levels should be checked.

6.Victims should wash their hands with soap or sanitizer.Do not touch the nose or mouth too much.The room should be kept clean.

7.Do not share items used by corona victims while in #Isolation‌.Those who care for their needs should also take precautions.

Hands and feet should be kept clean after going to the victim’s room.Gloves should be worn on the hands when touching the victim’s belongings.

8.Victims in home isolation may not have a fever for 3 days continuously .may come out after 7 days of isolation.However, masks must be worn.
