Hyderabad, January 1, : , As part of its policy for encouraging information technology in Telangana’s tier II towns, Hyderabad State Government launched Friday work at Nalgonda IT Hub.K.T., Information Technology Minister Rama Rao laid foundations for the IT Hub.It will be built on three acres with an area of 75,000 sq.feet.
The state-of-the art facility boasts all modern facilities that can be used in an easy plug and play fashion.
Officials stated that nine companies had already signed MOUs with Nalgonda IT Hub to establish their offices, and seven additional companies expressed keen interest in setting up offices there.
According to the IT Minister, these businesses will provide employment opportunities for 1500 youth in the area.The building to house the IT hub is expected to be completed in the 16-17 month period.
According to him, Covid-19 was a blessing disguised by IT entrepreneurs as it allowed them to work from wherever they wanted.
The District Collector was asked to grant temporary accommodation to the companies in order to allow them to set up operations as soon as possible.
KTR is the popularly-known minister.He said Nalgonda would be the sixth tier II town with an IT hub.
We have established IT hubs at Warangal Khammam, Karimnagar and Warangal.Ugadi will inaugurate the IT hub at Nizamabad, while Mahabubnagar’s will follow shortly,” he stated.
KTR recalls that when Telangana Rashtra Samithi was elected in 2014, IT was limited to Hyderabad.Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao however set the goal of expanding it to tier 2 towns so that they can also reap the benefits of technology and those who live in them have jobs.
The IT Hub in Nalgonda would also include a Telangana Academy of Skills and Knowledge Centre (TASK), to help educated youth with IT skills.
To encourage local innovation, the facility will have a T Hub regional centre.
Minister said that Telangana is moving ahead in terms of developing not only in agriculture, rural development, but also in the field of industry and information technology.
In just seven years Telangana saw rapid growth.
He stated that Telangana, one of 28 Indian states, is 12th in size and 11th in population.
However, a Reserve Bank of India report has revealed that Telangana was the fourth-largest contributor to India’s economy.
