Following the Telangana government, the Jagan government is all set to sell liquor till midnight on December 31.
On the eve of the New Year, the state Excise Department has permitted the liquor stores to sell wines and liquor till midnight on December 31.It is already known that bars in the state are allowed to be open today (Friday) from 10 am to 12 pm.Liquor stores are also allowed to stay open from 11 am to 10 pm.
However, Rajat Bhargava, the special general secretary of the revenue department, has recently issued orders extending this time by another hour.The orders state that the hours of liquor sales in bars, retail liquor stores and in-houses in the state will be extended by another hour from the time already announced.
It implies that bars are allowed to sell liquor until 1 am today and wines until 11 pm.
On the other hand, recently, the Telangana Excise Department has also issued official orders allowing license holders to sell liquor till midnight.
