Dubai, 28 December : .The last Group B match of the Under-19 Asia Cup, between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, was cancelled on Tuesday after COVID-19 testing revealed that two officials were positive.When the COVID-19 information was revealed, the match ended in the 33rd Over.After winning the toss, Sri Lanka elected to bowl and kept the opposition at 130/4 for 32.4 innings.
The ACC tweets, “Asian Cricket Council & Emirates Cricket Board confirm that today’s final match in Group B of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup has been cancelled.”
It is now confirmed that COVID-19 has been tested on two of our officials.They are being monitored and treated according to tournament protocol.
The match officials are currently undergoing tests and will be isolated until the results come back.The statement said that more information about the semifinals will be available in the future.
