Bengaluru (Dec 27th, 2012) – Bengaluru is now among the five most populous cities for Artificial Intelligence.According to TIDE Framework’s study and Harvard Business Review (HBR), it is ranked No.5.This ranking was based upon a set of indicators, including talent pool, investments and diversity of talent.Other cities that made the top five are New York City, Boston and Seattle.
Bengaluru also ranks high on HBR’s list as an AI hotspot in developing countries, with a favorable cost-of-living score.
Others cities include Hyderabad, Jakarta and Lagos as well as Nairobi, Mexico City (Buenos Aires), Sao Paulo, Lagos, Nairobi, Lagos, Nairobi, Mexico City and Mexico City.
New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai are also on the list.
Reviewers feel that this ranking provides companies with a means to prioritise their AI talent sourcing options by placing different scores on locations based on concentration, quality and diversity.
Gunjan Krishna (Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director of Department of Industries and Commerce of Karnataka) told IANS she is thrilled Bengaluru has been ranked among the most advanced cities for AI and boasts the second-largest AI talent pool in the world.
