According to media reports, Canada will join Mexico to call for arbitration to settle a dispute over the interpretation of rules regarding the origins of parts in vehicles.According to Xinhua, the two countries will request the establishment of a tribunal made up of experts in January to resolve the dispute as per the US-Mexico Canada Agreement.

Trudeau instructed top economist ministers to adopt “tougher” positions on trade in the midst of growing US-Canada disputes.
