Mysuru, Karnataka (Dec 26th : , The Karnataka government stated that it was ready to deal with a possible third wave in the coronavirus.After inaugurating the JSS Hospital’s Oxygen Generator, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bombmai stated that action was being taken to establish new ICU facilities and increase the oxygen plant production.
He also mentioned the need for medicines and the importance of maintaining stock levels.
The state has achieved a first Covid vaccine coverage of 97%.76% have received both doses.He said that it is an unprecedented number compared with other states.
Only 100 percent vaccination can protect against Covid.It is something that the government has worked tirelessly for.It would also take tough preventive steps.Bommai stated that people must cooperate with government.
He expressed gratitude to JSS institutions and their contributions in education, food for the hungry, and medical care.
The occasion was attended by the Pontiff of Suttur Mutt Shri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K.Sudhakar, as well as other dignitaries.
