Officials said that at least four security personnel, including the commander, were killed by a roadside bomb explosion in Mogadishu on Sunday.Unnamed security officials told Xinhua by phone that al Shabab militants had been behind the murder.
According to the officer, “Al-Shabab terrorists murdered four people including Daynile (district security chief commander) in a remote-controlled bombing attack on a roadside near the main district hospital.The police cordoned off the area and began to examine the situation.”
According to sources, the al-Shabab militants were at Saqira on the outskirts of Mogadishu’s Daynile when the explosion struck.
Al-Shabab militants claimed that six security personnel were killed in the attack by the terrorist media.
This latest attack occurred amid increased security in Mogadishu and the surrounding areas.
