Andhra Pradesh state government officials recently filed another affidavit in the Andhra Pradesh High Court on the Amaravati capital case.In the affidavit, the officials said that the three capitals bill had been withdrawn by the AP state govt and development work in Amaravati has also started.
In the affidavit, the officials mentioned, “We are widening Karakatta road and are constructing an additional building for the High Court. Here is a list of some of the works.”
After Jagan took over as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, not even a single task has been taken up by the state govt.An affidavit has been filed in the high court saying that now Amaravati will be developed as the capital of Andhra.
In fact, this is the second affidavit. The first affidavit states that the three capitals will be made under any circumstances.
The government’s stance is clear in that affidavit. They said they had technically withdrawn the bills, but they would again introduce the new amended three capitals bill.
On the other hand, as the AP govt filed an affidavit mentioning the development works in Amaravati, some people are regarding this as a green signal for Amaravati by CM Jagan. However, it seems like the state govt is currently in dilemma.
