You know that the on-rock industry was set up during the reign of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Makavarapalem Zone, Narsipatnam Constituency, Visakhapatnam District.You also know that the company shut down the industry after a few years of running out of supply of raw materials.
You know that during the construction of the company the farmers of the area gave a few hundred acres with the view that industry would come to the area.Hundreds of farmers, laborers and locals have now been affected by the closure of the industry.
In the newspapers a week ago, there was news that the on-rock industry was about to start soon.We are all very happy to see that news.
However, the company’s raw material will be transported by heavy tippers from the Visakhapatnam port to the on-rock industry at Makavarapalem, the same magazine wrote.
What I am saying is that about 35 km of road from Thallapalem National Highway to Narsipatnam was laid during the reign of Chandrababu Naidu with a whopping Rs 33 crore.Now if heavy tippers go with load on the same road, who will be responsible if that road is damaged.R&B Department or On Rock Industry Ownership ?.The Collector, RDO and R&B Department need to clarify this matter.
People, we will not turn those heavy tippers if you allow transport without clarity on this matter.
Therefore, we demand that the authorities and elders give clear assurances.I urge the Collector, RDO, R&B Department to take immediate action in this regard.
