Barcelona, December 14, 2014 : .Barcelona’s Argentina football star Sergio Aguero will announce that he is retiring from the game due to a serious heart condition.His club FC Barcelona announced that the forward will hold a press conference on Wednesday at noon at Camp Nou Stadium. “Please be aware that Sergio “Kun”, Aguero, will make a statement from Camp Nou on Wednesday, December 15 at 12:00 CET.Barcelona released a statement via its website stating that the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta will join him as the first-team player.
Aguero, 33 years old, hasn’t played since October 30th when he suffered an arrhythmia.He was taken to hospital.According to the club, Aguero would have to be out of action for three months.
After that time, tests will be done to determine if he is able to resume his professional career.
Josep Brugada has administered a diagnostic as well as therapeutic procedure to Aguero.
His recovery will not be determined until he is available for selection.
The Argentine was taken to hospital for cardiological evaluation on Saturday following the Barca v Alavés game in which the Barca striker felt unwell in the first half and was replaced before halftime by Philippe Coutinho.
If Aguero does confirm his retirement from the game, it will mean he has made just five appearances for Barca after joining on a free transfer from Manchester City over the summer.
