Dhaka : , Tuesday, December 14, 2014 – At least five people died in a devastating fire that engulfed a factory located in Bangladesh’s Bogura District, about 197km northwest of Dhaka.According to Xinhua, the fire was put out after three hours of intense efforts.
Rafi Al Faruk (duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters) in Dhaka said that the fire started suddenly and quickly spread.
“Bodies of five persons were retrieved after 10 firefighting units doused the blaze at around 2 p.m.,” he said.
The official said that the cause of the fire and the extent of damage to the factory could not be ascertained immediately.
