Chennai, December 13, 2013 : .Director Priyadarshan’s historic magnum opus ‘Marakkar : Arabikkadalinte Simham’ (Lion of the Arabian Sea) will be shown on Prime Video, the OTT platform that was announced Monday.The film, featuring Malayalam star Mohanlal as the main character, will debut on Prime Video, on Tuesday, December 17.Antony Perumbavoor, Aashirvad Cinemas produced the film.The cast includes Arjun Sarja and Suniel Shrietty, Manju Warsrier, Keerthy Certainsh, Pranav Mohanlal, and the late Nedumudi Veu.
This movie was theatrically released earlier in the month.It will be also available in Hindi and Tamil as well as Telugu.
This period drama tells the story of Kunjali Marakkar V, who is considered one of India’s greatest naval commanders.
This drama tells of the battle between the Portuguese invaders, Kunjali Marakkar V, and Kunjali Marakkar IV who became the naval commander for the Zamorin.
Marakkar was credited as the highest-priced film in Malayalam cinema.
It won the Best Feature Film and Best Special Effects awards in the 67th National Film Awards, October 2021.
