Olivia Sarkar New Delhi (IANSlife), Nov 23, 2003 – The “Paradigm of Oneness” art series is Dr Kalra’s inner dialogue. It’s a journey of personal expression through art.Kalra’s art does not seek to decipher or find reasons but rather simplify the complex.Through the poetic expressions, the intangible spirit and the invisible become tangible.
For more than 10 years, Dr Kalra has used this personal way to set text in art.It became an interpretation when his mother went on her eternal journey. These artworks are metaphors that take form and attempt to convey the essence of the symbolography.
In common usage, the word “Sab Tera” is also translated as “terah”, or thirteen.
This series of artworks was created using thirteen Shabads.Baba Nanak and Kabirdas address the Oneness of all Humans and Gender.
The series invites one to reflect upon their own lives.Every stroke and every piece of art is an attempt to discover the Divine in His creations.
Engaging with Sangraha Sacha Sauda Artisan at Sangraha Sacha Sauda Studio brings the artist into a place of joy as their minds and expressions are connected. This is an attempt at capturing the mutual understanding they have when they work together. It could be considered an art form.
By using the words and medium of embroidery I seek to discover spiritual reality and my true self through Dr Kalra’s words.
Shabads with all their grace have been meticulously drawn and embroided in zardosi, chikankari.
At a very young age, Dr Kalra began to love colour pencils.
He was not limited to creating flat artworks. At the tender age of 15, he started making three-dimensional art for theatre.
After completing a professional design degree, he continued his graduate and master’s studies. He was an avid student and an academician throughout his educational career.
