Dhaka : , Bangladesh lost Friday’s low-scoring T20 International match to Pakistan at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.Bangladesh will be looking to rebound quickly at Saturday’s second match of the three-match series.Despite the presence of several new faces, Bangladesh produced a gritty performance against tourists. The Babar Azam-led team made it to the goal with just four deliveries, despite the fact that the score was reduced from 24/4.
Bangladeshi cricket fans will hope it doesn’t become a new trend, as they had been in winning positions against Sri Lankan and West Indies at the T20 World Cup.
Although the bowlers performed their duties in Friday’s match, Mahmudullah may be considering making changes in order to improve a batting lineup that seemed far too cautious on a great surface.
Pakistan on the other side seem to have moved past their semifinal defeat in the T20 World Cup as they displayed tremendous determination to win from difficult circumstances. The series ended with Pakistan leading by 1-0 despite the occasional failure of the top orders.
Pakistan is looking to win the series with the second game, so they can put their bench strength through the test against Bangladesh in the T20I final.Although it wasn’t a complete win for Pakistan, Azam is not likely to alter his lineup for the T20I.
The wicket was not an easy surface to play on.Our middle order, Fakhar and Khushdil as well as Nawaz for their successful completion of the opening T20I.Azam said that we could have bowled them sooner, but they ended up conceding 15-20 extra runs. But cricket is unpredictable.”
Mahmudullah, Bangladesh’s captain, said that the wicket looked good for batting, but also provided support for bowlers. We will try to come up with better plans for Saturday.
We would have preferred 140 wickets, but we had 127.Taskin, Fizz and Mahedi were very good bowlers.
