He was previously Vice Chancellor and co-founded the Duke Clinical Research Institute.
He has led many landmark clinical trials and is one of the most frequently cited authors in biomedical science, with more than 1,200 publications in the peer-reviewed literature.His clinical trials have been landmarks.He is also one of the most cited biomedical scientists with over 1,200 peer-reviewed publications.
