Arrangements for the counting of by-election votes in the Huzurabad constituency are in full swing.The counting of votes will take place on November 2 at the SRR Degree College in Karimnagar.
In this context, Telangana State Chief Electoral Officer Shashank Goyal urged the authorities to ensure that the counting process runs smoothly and without any controversies.Shashank Goyal asked the Karimnagar district collector and Huzurabad elections Returning Officer to explain the complaints that the VV PATs were tampered with while being moved to the strongroom after the Huzurabad polling ended.
Recently, state chief electoral officer Shashank Goyal held a video conference with officials on the by-poll counting arrangements.
The counting of votes was ordered to be done carefully.
Shashank Goyal ordered the officials to remove the seal of the EVMs in the presence of the contesting candidates and their agents.He said he would hold a meeting with the leaders of all the political parties on Monday to discuss the altercations and the publication of the final voter list under the special amendment to the voter list (next year-2022).
Voters on a large scale cast their vote in the Huzurabad Assembly by-election on October 30.A record of 86.64 per cent polling was recorded.
