The number of corona cases is declining in the state of Andhra Pradesh.Today, on 31 May, less than 8,000 new covid cases have been reported in the state in the past 24 hours.
During the last 24 hours, 83,461 samples were tested in the state and 7,943 positive corona cases were reported.In the past 24 hours, 98 people have died due to the covid virus across the state.
According to the state health department, with the latest figures, the total number of positive cases in the state has reached 16,93,085 and so far, 10,930 people have died due to corona.The state government says 19,845 people have recently recovered from the corona.
Currently, there are 1,53,795 active cases in the state.
In the past 24 hours, 15 corona patients died in the Chittoor district, 12 people died in West Godavari, 10 people died in Prakasam district, 9 people died in Anantapur district, 8 people died in East Godavari district, 8 people died in Visakhapatnam, 7 people died in Srikakulam, 6 people died in Krishna district, 6 people died in Kurnool district, 6 people died in Vizianagaram, 4 people died in Guntur district, 4 people died in Nellore district, and 3 people died in Kadapa district.
The highest number of corona cases, 1877, were reported in East Godavari district.1283 corona cases were reported in Chittoor district and 765 corona cases were reported in Guntur district.
